From the first steps, the brothers Ernst and Otto Busch set up their dental bur factory Busch & Co. in Düsseldorf in 1905.
Their intention was to improve the field of dentistry by producing better instruments. The following BUSCH generations succeeded to develop in science and technology to produce grinding instruments with ceramic and diamond coated.
Other fields soon came to appreciate the high-quality of BUSCH’s dental products. In particular goldsmiths, jewellers and podologists became true supporters and inspired the numerous innovations of Busch & Co. which today are the premium high tech products manufactured today in Engelskirchen and delivered to almost 100 countries around the world.
This basis ensured that a broad range of customers, beyond the borders of the dental market, could be provided with a complete series of premium instruments.
Today, we are...an efficient and innovative company that, for more than 100 years, has successfully manufactured rotary precision instruments for sale throughout the world. Best materials, absolute precision and strict quality standards are the benchmarks for our production. Our engineers use CAD technology to produce high-precision units of premium BUSCH quality.

Quality management: Requirements specified by the international standard Medical Devices - Quality management systems - Requirements for medical purposes EN ISO 13485:2016.
For medical devices placed on the market in the European Union, the "Total quality assurance system" in accordance with the Annex II of Directive 93/42/EEC (with the exception of section 4). Our products conform to these specifications and we are consequently entitled to feature the CE mark on our medical products. Our continual efforts to maintain the quality system are verified through annual quality audits and certification via a German official accreditation body.
